What We're About
At the Indie Accords we are deeply passionate about all things indie, and we believe that indie artists are the heart of modern creativity, innovation, and diversity. We want to support as many self published/indie authors as we can, and our website is a curated collection of quality indie books.
We know that indie authors need more support finding a wider audience, and we created this blog to not only showcase our favourite indie books, but to also support and promote them.
The Indie Accords was originally created as a month-long readathon in 2020 and has fast become an amazing active community of indie loving readers and authors alike.
It was born from a love of readathons and the need to get people to try more indie and self published books and is named after the first self published series Lana ever read ‘The Tainted Accords’ by Kelly St Clare.
The annual month-long readathon is held in July with quarterly challenges throughout the year, which you can learn more about here.
Our Mission Statement
Though we enjoy traditionally published books, we want to be a voice supporting indie creatives. Our quest is to indulge in a variety of indie and self-published books and to share and promote those we love.
Our aims are to:
- Share and promote indie books
- Curate a collection of quality indie books
- Help readers find amazing new indie books
- Support indies wherever possible
- Be a loud voice in the indie community
We’ll do this by posting regular reviews, news, and features about all things indie. We hope you’ll join us on our quest and help us grow to become a home for fans of indie and self-published books.
